A peek inside

The Birthday with One Cupcake, page 1
It was Priya’s seventh birthday, and seven friends were coming at noon. Dad went to get the cake. Priya set out seven plates, seven cups, and seven forks, plus one of each for herself.
Dad came back with a very small box. Inside was one cupcake: chocolate, with pink frosting and a single red cherry. “The bakery mixed up the order,” he said. “The big cake went to someone else, and they’re closed until Monday.”

Three ways to print it
